Dr paul Spano Hair Transplant Surgeon

Melbourne based Dr Paul Spano graduated from The University of Melbourne Medical School in 1990. He has been performing Cosmetic Skin and Anti-Ageing treatments since 1996 and Hair Transplant Surgery since 2006.

Dr Paul Spano is a Fellow of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australia, a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine of the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr Paul Spano is known Australia-wide for his success in cosmetic medicine since 1996. This knowledge and success transitioned perfectly in 2006 into his ability to create a natural hair transplant for men and women.

What is really crucial is having an "eye" for creating a superb natural transplant, utilising artistry and being able to communicate that to the client. “Having worked in facial aesthetics for many years, designing and repairing hairlines and thinning areas of scalp was a very natural step for me and one that I enjoy.”

Three things make a great transplant according to Dr Spano. Firstly the science:  Dr Spano underwent intensive training both locally and internationally in the science of hair restoration and modifies his techniques according to the latest research.

Secondly, and as importantly, is artistry and design. Artistic talent can be learnt to a certain extent but you either have it or you don't. Success in both facial cosmetic procedures since 1996 and hair transplantation since 2006 gives Dr Spano a unique insight into facial harmony. Your hair forms the framing of the upper face and builds balance into your appearance.

The third aspect of having a great hair transplant is service and patient care. Having been through the process himself, Dr Spano can give you the personal touch that comes only from actually having had hair transplants. “It is a very personal issue. Study, knowledge and experience in the process are essential but I know what it is like before, during and after the procedure personally, and I know this helps my patients.”
